Rideau St Lawrence Family Health Team Recruiting Board Members

Published by rslfht on

Established in 2019 and originally opened in 2020, the Rideau St. Lawrence Family Health Team (RSLFHT), is providing essential, primary, community focused, healthcare services to several municipalities, some of which include Winchester, Ingleside, and Avonmore.

Operating both as an in person and virtual healthcare team, the RSLFHT offers a range of comprehensive, primary healthcare services and chronic disease management programs delivered by an inter-professional care team. Serving over 39,000 patients by collaborating with 25 physicians’ offices and care clinics, the RSLFHT increases access to care and supports the delivery of healthcare to patients of local communities.
We have recently identified a need to add members with a strong governance skill set, and /or employment law /legal background to our Board of Directors. This is a time when community leadership can support primary care to help face the challenges unfolding in healthcare now, and to provide local input into the design and delivery of health care services for the future.

The ideal candidates will have a combination of the following:

  • Board governance or strategic planning experience
  • Legal background (specifically relating to Privacy and/or employment law)
  • Experience with quality planning/monitoring in health care setting
  • Leadership in their business or profession
  • Lives in the counties of South Stormont, South Dundas or North Dundas

“Volunteer board members can bring a fresh perspective on the delivery of care to the communities we serve. We encourage anyone interested to send us an email expressing interest,” explains Donna Derouchie, Executive Director.
